Greetings from Bridgeview, a gorgeous late-summer evening for D.C. United’s MLS match against the Chicago Fire.

Draw, anyone?

Chicago has settled for an astonishing 14 ties in 23 matches, United nine in 22.

Kickoff: 9 p.m. ET.

Announcers: Rob Stone, John Harkes.

United Notes: midfielder Andy Najar has been called up by Honduras for friendlies against Colombia on Sept. 3 at Red Bull Arena and Paraguay three days later in San Pedro Sula. After being passed over for the Gold Cup roster, Najar will finally have an opportunity to represent his country. The matches fall in a FIFA fixture window, when clubs must release players for international duty. United is off during that stretch, anyway. ... Dwayne De Rosario and Dejan Jakovic will report to Canada camp at the same juncture for World Cup qualifying. USA call-ups for the Costa Rica and Belgium friendlies haven’t been announced, but United’s Bill Hamid, Chris Pontius and Brandon McDonald could be in the mix. ... Speaking of McDonald, United has initiated talks about a new contract after this season. McDonald’s MLS deal expires this year and he has expressed interest in exploring European opportunities.

DCU LINEUP: Hamid; Kitchen, Jakovic, McDonald, Woolard; Najar, Simms, King, Pontius; De Rosario, Davies. Subs: Cronin, Burch, White, da Luz, Quaranta, Wolff, Brettschneider. Traveled but not in uniform: Morsink, Ngwenya.

CHI LINEUP: Johnson; Gargan, Cuesta, Anibaba, Segares; Pause, Pardo, Pappa; Grazzini; Oduro, Nyarko. Subs: Conway, Mikulic, Paladnini, Husidic, Barouch, Nazarit, Chaves.
