MLS Cup at Home Depot Center

Home Depot Center in suburban Los Angeles will host MLS Cup for the fourth time, the league announced Tuesday.

The 2011 championship match will take place on a Sunday night, Nov. 20. Kickoff will take place sometime after 9 p.m. ET on ESPN and Galavision.

“MLS Cup has grown into a four-day celebration of the world’s game in North America,” Commissioner Don Garber said in a written statement. “We believe that Los Angeles and the Home Depot Center will be a superb stage.”

The 27,000-seat venue in Carson also hosted the finale in 2003, ’04 and ’08.

The past two years, MLS Cup was held in cool-weather sites, Toronto and Seattle, where imperfect conditions impacted the matches and fan experiences.
