Spain’s roster for the June 4 friendly against the United States at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.:

GOALKEEPERS: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Jose Manuel Reina (Liverpool), Víctor Valdes (Barcelona).

DEFENDERS: Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid), Raul Albiol (Real Madrid), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Carlos Marchena (Villarreal), Joan Capdevila (Villarreal), Andoni Iraola (Athletic Bilbao).

MIDFIELDERS: Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Santiago Cazorla (Villarreal), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Bruno Soriano (Villarreal), Borja Valero (Villarreal).

FORWARDS: David Villa (Barcelona), David Silva (Manchester City), Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Fernando Torres (Chelsea), Pedro Rodríguez (Barcelona), Manu Del Moral (Sevilla), Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla) .

Notable absences: Xavi (Barcelona), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Jesus Navas (Sevilla).

Seventeen of the 23 players selected were on the 2010 World Cup squad. Barcelona, which competes in the UEFA Champions League final Saturday against Manchester United, contributed six players. Real Madrid supplied five. Three days after the U.S. visit, Spain will play at Venezuela.

The U.S. roster was released Monday.
