*While you were sleeping, Jeff Cunningham drew even with the retired Jaime Moreno for the MLS regular season career scoring lead (133) by scoring in the 90th minute of the Columbus Crew’s 1-0 victory at Vancouver. It was his first goal of the year in 12 appearances. The Whitecaps, who wee missing several regulars, have lost four in a row.

The Crew result, combined with New York’s 5-0 demolition of Toronto FC, created both a jam atop the Eastern Conference and separation between the top three clubs and the rest of the division:
