*Things being said about Clint Dempsey:
“When you’ve got Clint in the team you know you’ve got a chance,” Fulham captain Danny Murphy told the Associated Press. “He’s been on an unbelievable run of form. He keeps bailing us out. When the ball goes in the box he’s usually the first on the end of it, and he got us out of trouble again.”
Dempsey: “Maybe just lucky, one of them things, to just go on a little bit of a run.”
The Guardian: “With players of the American’s calibre in this form, the loss of Bryan Ruiz with a broken foot until next season will not be felt too keenly.”
The Sun: “Dempsey rose unchallenged to flick home his third goal in two games to knock the stuffing out of Chelsea.”
“Saturday Night Live” actor Seth Meyers, on Twitter: “Clint Dempsey!!!!!”
Fulham, ninth in the Premier League, is off until April 21 against Wigan.

*Congrats to Olney Rangers for winning the U-16 Dallas Cup title. According to Coach Matt Pilkington, it’s the first time a Maryland team has won a championship at the prestigious youth tournament featuring clubs from around the world.
