Future Terrapins shine at Capital Classic

Saturday’s Capital Classic became something of a showcase for Maryland’s recruits, with Shaq Cleare, Seth Allen, Damonte Dodd, Charles Mitchell and Sam Cassell Jr. (who re-affirmed his commitment to Maryland at the game) combining to score 49 points for the U.S. All-Stars in a 105-93 victory over the Capital All-Stars. Jake Layman, another Maryland recruit, was supposed to compete but was laid low after having his tonsils removed.

Lots of highlights in the video below and some reaction from the future Terrapins, who are brimming with confidence about their future destination.

After spending the first 17 years of his Post career writing and editing, Matt and the printed paper had an amicable divorce in 2014. He's now blogging and editing for the Early Lead and the Post's other Web-based products.
