Maryland basketball vs. Clemson: talk about the game

Good afternoon/evening.

Maryland visits Clemson on Tuesday night for an ESPNU-televised game. Both teams are reeling: The Terrapins are 1-5 over their last six games and the Tigers are 2-5 over their last seven games, the last of which was a 67-65 loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday.

Maryland has lost eight straight road games dating back to last season. The Terrapins’ last road win came on Jan. 30, 2011, at Georgia Tech. Maryland also hasn’t won at Littlejohn Coliseum since February 2007.

Terrapins center Alex Len is slowly getting “Americanized,” Liz Clarke writes in her game advance. Clemson, meanwhile, has lost its conference games by an average margin of 3.6 points, and “we’re six or seven possessions away from really being in that conversation right now,” senior guard Tanner Smith told The State.
