Maryland will visit Northwestern on Nov. 27 in this year’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge, ESPN announced Monday.

The Wildcats finished 19-14 last season and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament, where they lost to Washington. Northwestern, which has made four straight NITs but has never advanced to the NCAA tournament, loses senior John Shurna, the Big Ten’s leading scorer in 2011-12 and the 27th player in Big Ten history with at least 2,000 points. However, swingman Drew Crawford, the team’s second-leading scorer at 16.1 points per game and second-leading rebounder at 4.7, will be back

Maryland is 9-4 all-time in ACC/Big Ten Challenge games (4-3 in road games). The teams have played only once before, a 66-62 Wildcats win in 1958.

The Terrapins got a glimpse of their ACC schedule on Friday.
