In case you missed it, the ACC announced Wednesday that Notre Dame will join the league in all sports except for football and hockey, though the Fighting Irish will play five football games per season against ACC teams.

The move almost makes too much sense from the ACC’s perspective: The conference adds one of the biggest names in college sports, five of its schools will now have one more big-ticket football game per season and ACC lacrosse adds to its stable of powerhouses. Notre Dame, meanwhile, gets scheduling stability in football while preserving its traditional rivalries (USC, Navy, Stanford) and joins just a mammoth basketball conference.

What do you think of the move?
