Police arrested two dozen Phish fans on drug allegations during two concerts at Merriweather Post Pavilion over the weekend.

Howard County police said 24 people were taken into custody for possession of or intent to distribute drugs. They said officers seized marijuana, ecstasy, nitrous oxide and methamphetamine. Three vehicles containing drugs were impounded, authorities said, and police confiscated $2,000. In addition, 22 people were cited for underage drinking, police said.

It’s the third year in a row that police have made arrests at local Phish concerts. Last year, 21 concertgoers were taken into custody. And in 2009, 31 were arrested Most of the arrests were related to drugs.
