Voters head to the polls in D.C. and Maryland’s primary elections.This election day, there are tight contests in both jurisdictions.

A Reston citizens’ group predicts toll-related gridlock on streets surrounding the Dulles Toll Road in coming years. The group says thousands of drivers will divert from the highway to avoid the $4.50 toll being levied to pay for Metro’s new Silver Line.
