Falls Church collects 15 tons of e-refuse

The northern Virginia city of Falls Church says it has collected more than 15 tons of electronics and computer equipment to be recycled.

Officials say about electronics weighing 19,470 pounds and 135 televisions weighing 6,120 pounds were collected during a recycling event on Saturday. About 145 computer monitors weighing about 5,040 pounds also were collected.

In addition, officials say they shredded about 4.5 tons of paper for free.
