License plates for D.C. sports fans: Which team would you choose?

Would you flaunt your team spirit on a license plate? (Toni L. Sandys/The Washington Post)

The Washington Times reports that the bill would allow Washingtonians to get specialty plates displaying the logo of one of nine home teams, from the Redskins to the Divas.

The plates would also still display the District’s “Taxation Without Representation” tagline.

If the proposal is approved by the council, residents can choose from the following teams: Redskins (football), Nationals (baseball), Capitals (hockey), Wizards (basketball), D.C. United (soccer), Mystics (women’s basketball), Kastles (tennis), Bayhawks (lacrosse) or Divas (women’s football).

There’s an option for every fan, but, the Times acknowledges, “demand for the specialty tags is unclear.”

Tell us: Would you opt for a specialty sports team license plate? If so, which team would you choose?
