Powerball jackpot reaches $245 million

Feeling lucky? After growing for nearly two months without a winner, the Powerball lottery jackpot has reached $245 million.

Wednesday’s drawing is the ninth-largest jackpot in the history of the game, WTOP reports.

The amount has been growing since Sept. 7, when a Harford County couple wont $108.8 million.

Powerball tickets, which cost $1 each, are available in 43 states, including Virginia and Maryland, and in the District.

The winning Sept. 7 ticket was purchased at Wine World in Abingdon, Md. It was Maryland’s first-ever jackpot-winning ticket.
