Student sings a waitlist plea to Harvard

Reposted from Campus Overload

Last week I blogged about colleges creating massive waitlists, and students doing all they can to beat the odds and get admitted.

But here’s one strategy I had not thought of: Grace Oberhofer says she was waitlisted at Harvard University, so she recorded a You Tube music video of a tune called “Dear Harvard.”

The lyrics include lines like: “Now Undergrad Admissions Office hear me out, I want an education to make me shout.”

Gawker has already made fun of her for this line: “On John Harvard's statue I'd never pee.” But the blog IvyGate deemed the video“not a  completely bad song.”
