Check. Highly caffeinated? You know it. Read on for more examples of what the rest of the country thinks we are.

Hot on the heels of last week’s revelation about D.C. singles, yet another dating site has a superlative to bestow on the nation’s capital: America’s biggest boozers.

In the latest “study” pitting Washingtonians against residents of other major U.S. cities, found that 34 percent of D.C. singles rate themselves “heavy drinkers” — the highest percentage in the country.

Tied behind D.C. were New York and Chicago, with 33 percent apiece.

In a surprising twist, singles in Las Vegas claim to be the nation’s lightest drinkers.

The results are based on the answers to the HowAboutWe profile question “How much do you drink?”

People who answered “frequently” or “very frequently” were classified as heavy drinkers. People who answered “never” or “seldom” were classified as light drinkers. The number of alcoholic beverages that correspond to “frequently” or “seldom” were not specified.

The list was released days before one of the biggest drinking days of the year, St. Patrick’s Day.
