Watergate, 40 years later: Live tweets from event featuring Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein

Greetings! I'm here atop the 11th floor of the Watergate Hotel for a Washington Post Live event commemorating the 40th anniversary of Watergate. The views of the city from here are splendid.

Speakers include Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the  Washington Post reporters whose work uncovered the break-in into the offices of the Democratic National Committee at this very hotel and the subsequent cover-up; John Dean, White House counsel to President Nixon; and William Cohen, a member of the House Judiciary Committee during Watergate.

The event will end with a tribute to Ben Bradlee, the executive editor of The Washington Post during the time of the scandal.

I'll be tweeting the event until 8 p.m. You can follow my live stream below or on Twitter @newsbysamuels.
