The FDA has announced that Novartis Consumer Health, Inc. has voluntarily recalled some over-the-counter products, including Excedrin, NoDoz, Bufferin and Gas-X, because some packages may contain chipped or broken tablets or gelcaps — or the wrong tablets altogether. Some packages may include pills delivering different, possibly more potent medications; accidental use could lead to overdose, and taking the wrong medication could cause allergic reactions in some people.
