We’re one week away from the (semi) official kickoff of the 2012 campaign — that’s Labor Day to most normal people — but plenty is happening.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry may be the new frontrunner while Rep. Michele Bachmann is drawing big crowds and making some eyebrow-raising comments. And then there’s former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney who continues his slow and steady approach to the race. But how much longer can he keep it up?
