Since being sworn in as Speaker of the House earlier this year, John Boehner and the tea party movement have (generally) gotten along.
But the coming Congressional fight over whether to raise the federal debt limit will test the limits of Boehner’s relationship with the tea party.
For many within the movement, raising the debt ceiling is a non starter unless and until huge cuts in federal spending and a major overhaul of the tax code are implemented.
Boehner, of course, must weigh those concerns against the warning provided by the Obama Administration about the dire consequences of defaulting on the nation’s loans.
How will he navigate those tricky waters? We look for answers to that question in today’s episode of “Fast Fix”. And, don’t forget to check out all of our “Fast Fix” videos here. If you have a topic you want to see us break down in “Fast Fix” just email email@example.com with it.
