Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ release from a Houston-area rehabilitation center last week — five months after she was shot in the head at an event in Tucson — has prompted increased chatter about whether and when she might return to politics.

Giffords’ aides have said she is entirely focused on her recovery and will make no decision about her political future until next year.
