A former aide to frontrunning presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has created a super PAC to raise unlimited sums to help his candidacy.

The group, called Winning Our Future, is lead by Becky Burkett, a former top fundraiser for American Solutions for Winning the Future, an orgaization that Gingrich founded to promote his political views while he left office in 1998.

The Atlanta-based group is the latest in series of independent efforts backing the major candidates and run by their former aides.

Under new campaign finance rules, the super PACs can accept unlimited contributions but are not allowed to coordinate with candidates or campaign officials on strategy.

Several of the groups — including “Make Us Great Again”, which is aligned with Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and “Restore Our Future, a super PAC with ties to former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, have already spent millions on this year’s race.
