Welcome to the Fix Final Four!

Your votes narrowed our Sweet 2016 candidates to an Elite 8 and now down to just four candidates. (A caveat: This competition assumes President Obama is reelected in 2016 not because we believe that will happen but simply because “Sweet 2016” sounds better than “Sweet 2020”. This competition is in no way an indication of what might happen in November.)

On the Democratic side, it’s an all New York affair with Gov. Andrew Cuomo (our #1 seed) taking on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (#7 seed). Cuomo took care of Virginia Sen. Mark Warner in the Elite Eight while Clinton beat out the woman who took her seat — New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

For Republicans, the seeding held with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, the number one seed, set to take on #2 seed and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Rubio beat out former Florida governor Jeb Bush to win his way into the Final Four while Christie beat Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell.

Vote for your favorite below; we’ll keep the voting open all the way through 6 p.m. eastern time Wednesday night. We’ll announce our final matchup on Thursday morning and crown a winner a week from today even as the top two teams in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament prepare to take the court.

Let the games begin!
