The Washington Post

More to come

Right now, the Obama campaign seems several steps ahead of Romney’s, to put it mildly. These things happen in campaigns. In 2000, I remember Bush dominating the Gore campaign from March through June, while the reverse was true from July through September. The fundamentals of the race still favor Romney.

But Romney’s dark period isn’t over. Bain still percolates, the tax returns’ time-bomb ticks, and I have a hunch we are going to learn more about Romney’s stewardship of the Olympics soon. Today there is a small story that, as in 2012, the 2002 Olympic uniforms weren’t made in the U.S.A. Makes me wonder if more opposition research is on its way.
