Vandals smash Fairfax Station Christmas display

Michael Lester has been putting up an enormous Christmas light display at his home on Wayfarer Drive in Fairfax Station for the last 15 years.

Sunday morning around 4 a.m., some ill-mannered punks armed with a baseball bat and a car smashed and then ran over some of Lester’s front-yard display. Fortunately, a surveillance camera captured some of the mindless vandalism.

Fairfax Station Patch’s Rachel Hatzipanagos first broke this story Tuesday, and her article and edit of the surveillance video are here.
