Samsung kept this one fairly short and sweet, wrapping up a three-product event in just over an hour.
To recap, this is what we’ve seen today:
- The Galaxy Note 3 — This 5.7-inch smartphone is the company’s latest addition to its popular phablet line and has a 13 MP camera and shoots 4K video. It will come in 32GB or 64GB models and will have expandable memory. Its back is soft and textured — meant to evoke the feeling of a small journal or diary. It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.3 and has 3 GB of RAM. It hits the United States in October.
-The Galaxy Gear smartwatch — This wearable watch hooks into the smartphone to let users see e-mail and notifications and even make and receive calls. It has a 1.16-inch screen, will run its own apps and is supposed to have a battery life of over 25 hours. It will be available in the United States sometime in October.
-The Galaxy Note 10.1 — This update to the company’s full-sized tablet also sports 3 GB of RAM and, as you may expect, has a 1o-inch screen. It’s just under one-third of an inch thick and weighs 1.17 pounds.
