Late rapper Heavy D’s funeral is set for Friday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. and is being broadcast live from Grace Baptist church in his hometown, Mount Vernon, NY.

Dwight Arrington Myers, a.k.a Heavy D, died Nov. 8 at the age of 44 in Los Angeles. His autopsy reports remain inconclusive and more tests will be needed to determine exactly what killed the rapper.

He was one of the young, hungry rappers who came along at the right time in the late 1980s who helped define a piece of the evolving New York hip-hop sound, partly by adding some R&B tilt to his game.

Fans from all over have been showing their love and rememberance through Facebook and Twitter.
