Kansas lawmaker apologizes for Michelle Obama ‘YoMama’ email

O’Neal sent the email from his personal account and featured photos likening the first lady’s hair to that of the Dr. Seuss character “The Grinch” because of their windswept styles.

He passed it along to fellow Republicans and wrote, "I'm sure you'll join me in wishing Mrs. YoMama a wonderful, long Hawaii Christmas vacation - at our expense, of course,” according to the Lawrence Journal World.

The ‘YoMama’ comment was not writted by O’Neal, but rather was already in the body of the email. The first lady’s office has declined to comment, according to the Kansas City Star.

This incident is off the heels of Wisconsin Republican congressman Jim Sensenbrenner recently commenting on the size of Mrs. Obama’s backside.
