CAP’s new sites and a goodbye to Wonk Room

The Center for American Progress site, Think Progress, is getting a face lift over the long holiday weekend. But the most striking difference is that its popular Wonk Room blog will cease to exist as we know it. Each of the issues covered at Wonk Room will have its own blog and will be integrated with Think Progress and Yglesias.

The site insists, however that its mission will remain the same:

We’ll continue to unravel the latest conservative attacks and misinformation about health care, the economy, the environment, national security, justice, and LGBT issues and provide exclusive on-the-ground coverage of how these policies are shaping the 2012 presidential election and affecting the national conversation. The increased space and central devotion to each policy area will also allow us to solicit contributions from our policy experts at the Center for American Progress and from around the country to provide more in-depth analysis and reporting from a true progressive perspective.
