Forbes’s 30 Under 30: Which think tankers made the policy list?

Today, Forbes released its 30 Under 30 list of individuals “who aren’t waiting to reinvent the world.” Forbes selected 30 young movers and shakers in a dozen fields, including energy, media and finance.

But in the law and policy category, two think tankers, both from the Center for American Progress, made the cut. Melissa Boteach is the manager of “Half in Ten” project, which advocates measures to cut the poverty rate in half. And Igor Volsky is the health-care and gay rights editor at ThinkProgress and co-author of Howard Dean’s “Prescription for Real Healthcare Reform.”

Allen McDuffee writes about politics and policy and covered think tanks for The Washington Post from 2011 to 2013. He freelances and hosts a podcast at and is currently working on a book about the influence of think tanks in Washington.
