CW announced five new dramas at its upfront presentation, three to air this fall, and two to air midseason. Here’s a look at the first clips:

“The Originals” (Tuesdays at 8): Spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries,” centered on Klaus (Joseph Morgan) living in New Orleans.

“The Tomorrow People” (Wednesdays at 9): A very smart group of people can both teleport and communicate telepathically, so naturally a team of evil people want to hunt them down and get rid of them forever.

“Reign” (Thursdays at 9): Story of Mary Queen of Scots as she arrives in France as a teenager, with her BFFs as ladies-in-waiting.

MIDSEASON

“The 100”: Nearly a century after Earth is destroyed by nuclear war, 100 juvenile delinquents are sent back to the planet to see if it can be re-colonized; stars Isaiah Washington.

“Star-Crossed”: Follows an alien high school student who falls in love with a girl in his class — that happens to be human.
