CNN ‘reviewing’ whether Howard Kurtz will be on ‘Reliable Sources’ this weekend

UPDATE:

Friday morning, CNN told the TV Column:

“There has been no status change with Howard Kurtz, he remains the host of Reliable Sources. He will address this issue on the program this weekend.”

ORIGINAL POST:

CNN said at presstime it was “reviewing” whether Howard Kurtz would be on his “Reliable Sources” program this weekend, following his departure from Daily Beast, after that Web site retracted Kurtz’s commentary about NBA player Jason Collins.

Kurtz, who formerly worked at The Washington Post, wrote on the Daily Beast site that Collins left out of his Sports Illustrated essay disclosing his homosexuality, the fact he’d been engaged to a woman.

Collins did include that information in the essay, and in a follow-up on-air interview with ABC News.

Kurtz reiterated that position in a video for the Daily Download, another Web site.
