Gabrielle Giffords gives first TV interview since Tucson tragedy [Video]

Monday night, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and her husband, retired space shuttle commander Mark Kelly, will sit for their first TV interview since Giffords was shot in the head 10 months ago.

ABC News has been offering previews for the last few days, including this morning, when Diane Sawyer appeared on “Good Morning America.”

“To go from this, which was her after the injury when no one knew she could talk, to the moment we sit down with her — and take a look at the way she has changed,” Diane Sawyer said, as the preview shows photos of Giffords in the hospital and going through intensive therapy.

The interview airs Monday on a special edition of “20/20” at 10 p.m.
