Vice President Joe Biden read David Letterman’s Thursday Top 10 List: Good Things About Voting Early.

“Before begin I just hope everything is coming along alright in New York,” Biden said before reading the list; he’d taped his delivery earlier Thursday at the Davenport, Iowa hotel in which he was staying while campaigning for President Obama.

“You’ve been devastated in New York and New Jersey, and just know everyone’s thinking of you and doing everything we can to help,” Biden said.

Among the highlights:

No. 7: At a less crowded polling center, there’s plenty of room to stretch out, linger and relax.

No. 6: If you vote early, you don’t have to pay taxes. I’m sorry — I’m being told that’s not accurate.

No. 5. Single and looking to mingle? Find that someone special in the early voting line.

No. 2. Early voters will receive a $5 million donation from Donald Trump

Last December, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney read Letterman's Top 10 List: Things Mitt Romney Would Like To Tell the American People.

Among the highlights:

No. 10: Isn't it time for a president who looks like a 1970's game show host?

No. 9. What’s up gangstas. It’s the M-I-Double Tizzle.

No. 8. I have no proof, but I have a feeling Canada is planning something

No. 7. Actually, I'm only here to meet Tom Cruise.

No. 2. Newt Gingrich, really?

No. 1. It's a hairpiece…

“Mitt Romney everyone! Good luck on the campaign trail!” Letterman told Romney back then.

Last time Biden read Letterman’s Top 10 list was in May of 2007, when he was a senator. Acuually, he didn’t read the full list — he was one of 10 senators reading the list.

And, First Lady Michelle Obama read the list right before the DNC this past September: Top 10 Reasons to Watch the Democratic National Convention.

And in June, while promoting her new book about the White House kitchen garden, she again read Letterman’s list — this time Fun Facts about Gardening:

No. 1: With enough care and effort, you can grow your own Barack-oli.
