Maryanne Culpepper named National Geographic Television president

Maryanne Culpepper (National Geographic Television)

Most recently the executive vice president of editorial and new business development, Culpepper previously was president of a television production company whose clients have included National Geographic Channel, Discovery and PBS.

Based in Washington, National Geographic Television is the documentary arm of the National Geographic Society, according to its Web site, and produces the majority of programming for the NatGeo channel.

Culpepper replaced Michael Rosenfeld, who left the company last month.
