The conservative group Crossroads GPS launched a Spanish-language television ad in Virginia as part of a two-month, $20 million push against President Obama and congressional Democrats.

The ad, titled “Despertarse (Wake up),”will air on Spanish-language broadcast television stations in Washington, to be seen in Northern Virginia, as well as Nevada, Colorado, Florida and New Mexico.

The 60-second ad seeks to counter Obama’s message during the federal deficit talks. It is the group’s third ad in the state.

“President Obama and his congressional allies have already wasted hundreds of billions of our tax dollars, and we need to send them the message that they don’t deserve another penny in taxes,’’ said Steven Law, president of Crossroads GPS.
