“I am confident that Aneesh is ready to lead in Virginia with a vision that includes smart investments to grow an innovation economy, and ensure Virginia’s workers have the skills to compete,” Moran said.

Said Boucher: “Aneesh Chopra has been my friend and partner on advancing the nation’s technology economy, including expanding access to affordable broadband services in our rural communities, including Southwest Virginia.”

Chopra is part of a crowded field seeking to replace Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling (R), who is running for governor.
