Herring appointed House Democratic whip

Del. Charniele Herring

“Delegate Herring has shown herself to be a great team player who will organize the diverse strengths of the caucus in presenting the Democratic agenda in committees and in floor debates,” House Minority Leader David J. Toscano said in a statement.

Herring, a lawyer who has served in the House since 2009, will work closely with the new Democratic leadership team — Toscano and Caucus Chairman Mark Sickles — in planning daily floor strategy.
