Former governor and Democratic National Committee chairman Timothy M. Kaine, now a candidate for Senate, will be present for the “Virginia Great Together Youth Summit,” which begins at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at 107 W. Broad Street. Also taking part will be ex-congressman Tom Perriello, who now heads the advocacy arm of the liberal think tank Center for American Progress, and former U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra, who is expected to run for Virginia lieutenant governor.

Rounding out the lineup will be actors Hill Harper (of CSI: NY fame) and Rachael Leigh Cook.

The Richmond event is part of a national Student Summit Tour being organized by the Obama campaign, with similar gatherings scheduled in other key battleground states to bring young voters into the fold.
