Virginia Gov.Bob McDonnell will pop up on another Sunday morning talk show, this time on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

The appearance this Sunday will be McDonnell’s third Sunday show since August, when the Republican governor was on CNN’s “State of the Union” one week and “Meet the Press” the next.

McDonnell’s national profile has risen since he was named chairman of the Republican Governors Association in August. Bad weather hasn’t hurt, either. (He was tapped for one of those appearances to talk Hurricane Irene.)

McDonnell’s counterpart at the Democratic Governors Association, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, is scheduled to appear Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” with Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R).

McDonnell will be interviewed with Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (D) to discuss the 2012 presidential race and President Obama’s jobs bill.
