Gov. Bob McDonnell will headline a fundraiser Tuesday night for fellow Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana at the McLean home of businessman Fred Malek.

The event will be attended by about 50 to 75 people and is expected to raise about $50,000 for Jindal’s re-election campaign this year, said Phil Cox, McDonnell’s top political adviser.

Malek, a major Republican donor who was Sen. John McCain’s national financial chairman, serves as head of McDonnell’s government reform commission.

Jindal raised hundreds of thousands of dollars at a pair of fundraisers for McDonnell during his 2009 gubernatorial campaign when Republican stars were flocking to Virginia to fundraise for McDonnell.
