A week before Election Day, Republicans and Democrats are seeking help from the state’s two most popular politicians to encourage voters to go to the polls.

Starting Monday, Gov. Bob McDonnell will appear in about a dozen TV ads for Republicans (like the one below for Republican Bryce Reeves in Spotsylvania). Sen. Mark Warner is appearing in a handful for Democrats (like the one below for Sen. John Miller of Newport News.)

Both men also have recorded get-out-the-vote calls that will urge voters in about 60 districts across the state to cast ballots on Nov. 8.

Recent Polls show McDonnell and Warner with 60-percent-plus job approval ratings, despite low rankings for a divided Congress and President Obama.
