More than a dozen prominent Republicans will attend, including some thought to be in contention to be Romney’s running mate -- Rep. Paul Ryan (Wis.), Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Sen. John Thune (S.D.).

McDonnell, chairman of the Republican Governors Association , is expected to speak Saturday evening, according to his office, which did not release further details.
