Just in time for Mother’s Day, Restore Our Future, a super PAC supporting GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, is out with a new TV ad in Virginia revisiting some controversial statements about Ann Romney.

The 30-second ad touts Mrs. Romney’s achievements as a stay-at-home mother of five and defends her from attacks by Hilary Rosen, a political consultant who advises the Democratic National Committee, and by comedian Bill Maher, a donor to Priorities USA Action, a super PAC supporting President Obama’s reelection.

“Obama's team has repeatedly denigrated the role of mothers, and especially those who choose to be stay-at-home moms, in our society,” said Charlie Spies, a spokesman for Restore Our Future. “Perhaps Obama's team needs a storyboard on the Life of Ann to begin to understand that stay-at-home mothers and working women alike are independent voices in America's policy discussion and integral to our nation's continued growth, education and strength.’’

The new ad will run in Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Ohio as part of the $4.3 million buy that began on May 3.
