You must upload your photo via the submission page. If you have problems submitting, read the step-by-step instructions below and then ask for assistance via e-mail: with “Historic Home Contest” in the subject line.

STEP 1: You must be signed in to your account to submit a photo. This is the same account you might already use for commenting on our site. Don’t have an account? Click “register” to create one.

STEP 2: Once you are signed in, you should be redirected to the submission page. If not, please navigate back to the submission page. You should now see an indication that you are logged in. Note that your username will appear with your photo.

STEP 5: This is the most complicated step. A thumbnail image should appear (NOTE: Vertical-oriented photos will not have a proper thumbnail. Do not worry, we receive vertical photos just fine.).

Below that, you should see a spot for your caption information. That is where we encourage you to elaborate on your photo. This information will be public.
