The Wizards may be undermanned but they are not without a plan as they start a five-game road trip in Portland on Tuesday. “Our formula,” Coach Flip Saunders said, “we have to play at a high level, not turn the ball over, and make some shots and rebound the basketball and defend. One of the reasons we won our last home game is how we came out and competed. Those are going to be big keys for us.” The Wizards defeated the Trail Blazers, 83-79, when the teams met at Verizon Center on Dec. 3. But they have lost five in a row at Rose Garden, with their last win in Portland coming on March 28, 2005. They are 1-31 on the road this season.
