Trevor Booker has sustained a fractured sesamoid bone in his right foot, an injury that will likely require surgery. Meantime, the Wizards will place Booker in a walking boot and he’ll be re-evaluated in six weeks. “He’ll be out for the year,” Coach Flip Saunders confirmed. “Kind of have to wait and see how it goes through with the healing process.”

Nick Young is also out against the Miami Heat with a bone bruise outside his left knee.

Andray Blatche will return after missing the past 11 games with a sprained right shoulder, but Saunders said he intends on bringing him off the bench.

The Heat have won the first three meetings, including a 95-94 win at Verizon Center on Dec. 18. Miami lost on Tuesday in Cleveland, the team with the league’s worst record. “At least our players know they’re not invincible because the Cavs beat them,” Saunders said.
