Open thread: Wizards (21-57) at Celtics (54-24)

The Wizards have split the previous two games against the Boston Celtics, with John Wall making a 27-foot three-pointer off the glass to win the last meeting, 84-81, at Verizon Center. Coach Flip Saunders said he expects the Celtics to be fired up, not only because they want to get some revenge, but also because they need to keep winning in order to secure the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. “They are not going to be able to go like they did last year,” Saunders said of Boston, which reached the NBA Finals as the fourth seed. “Winning the two series, semis and finals on the road, you’re starting to ask for too much.” Boston (54-24) is currently tied with the Miami Heat and the two teams will meet on Sunday. The Celtics, 13-10 since trading Kendrick Perkins to Oklahoma City for former Georgetown star Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic, currently own the tiebreaker against Miami.
