The scoring-challenged Washington Wizards will have to muster up some offense without big man Andray Blatche tonight. Blatche’s shoulder was examined by a specialist in New York on Friday while the rest of the team was in Philadelphia preparing for today’s game against the 76ers

Blatche is also likely out for Saturday’s rematch at Verizon Center. There is no timetable for his return, but Blatche is already in Washington receiving treatment. He is averaging 11.8 points on 39 percent shooting this season

The Wizards had difficulty scoring with Blatche and the Atlantic Division-leading 76ers (7-3) would appear to be the least likely team to break out against offensively. Philadelphia is the league’s stingiest defense, holding opponents to just 85.5 points. If the Wizards score that much, it would actually be an improvement: they currently rank last in the NBA in scoring at 83.6.

The 76ers have won their first four games at Wells Fargo Center by an average of 23.8 points. Join the discussion in the comments below. You can also join the conversation on Twitter with Michael Lee (@MrMichaelLee).
