The Wizards are off to an 0-2 start this season, the latest loss coming on Wednesday to the Hawks in Atlanta. Tonight they are in Milwaukee to face the Bucks, who have let big leads slip away in both of their games but managed to win on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, 98-95.
Despite the Washington’s offensive struggles — which include an inability to hit layups — reserve guard Nick Young has been a spark, scoring 37 of the Wizards’ 167 points this season in just 50 minutes off the bench. Young will get his first start of the season, with Jordan Crawford coming off the bench.
Coach Flip Saunders said he would also use Crawford at backup point guard to spell John Wall, who has averaged a team-high 38 minutes in the first two games. Roger Mason will also get more action after playing a total of nine minutes this season.
